The department of Psychology started its journey since 2017. The department of Psychology was started with B. Sc. Psychology course 20 students and 2 teachers. Miss.Lijimol Joseph was the first Head of the Department of Psychology, St.Mary’s College. The department is well equipped with well-furnished laboratory and dedicated faculty.

Now we have B. Sc. Psychology degree course, with 93 students in three batches Currently 4 teachers who are moulding the students with their rich experiences. The current Psychology department is headed by Sr.Vincy Joseph. The Department of Psychology also provides certificate courses, space for overall personality and skill development specially designed curricular and co-curricular activities for overall student development with competence to deal with in a world class level.

We have a well-equipped Psychology Laboratory in the area with more than 50 materials.

• The Department of Psychology helps to develop self-awareness and motivates students to develop and utilize life skill techniques.
• The department offers invited talks and interactive sessions of eminent professionals
• The Department motivate students to take part in national and international seminars, workshops and intercollegiate competitions
• The Department promises to provide a fulltime assistance of experienced teachers.
• An active counselling cell is working along with department to give psychological support exclusively to all students of St.Marys College.
