The under graduate department of psychology began its journey at the year of 2017. As a different field, psychology is found to be a prominent stream Of great demand and interest. There are at present 40 sanctioned seats for this course. There are three full time faculties and one part time faculty to take care of the students academic interests

Experimental psychology is given importance in the curriculum itself, so students were given exposure to various practical experiments in relation to the topics they learned from first semester onwards. Besides teaching, the department organizes seminar, debate and weekly student development program is initiated to improve the in depth knowledge in various areas of psychology , under the Department of Psychology . Under the Association of psychology, Exhibition and presentation are conducted in relation to World Mental health day The students were given an opportunity to take part in a two day workshop conducted on the topic Polygraph Examination by well known forensic expert Mr. Mebin Wilson Thomas. Students are participating in intercollegiate competitions in order to improve their overall development and confidence. Students of the department take part in various college activities like college magazine, social work and cultural activities, women cell programs etc. The department organizes parent – teacher meeting to analyze the progress of the students. The referral section of library is an important asset for the students. Department arranges Industrial visit for the II sem students, IV sem students and three days of study tour for the VI sem students. The department faculties are always available to give assistance for students inside and outside campus at any point of time . A counseling cell is working weekly once to deal with the emotional and psychological issues of the students. The department is giving emphasis to the overall development of every student. Students were going through their final exam with great determination and colourful dreams to attain successful future.
