About Us

Chemistry is the central science charting our path of inquiry, guiding us through our understanding of the world around us and revealing what is possible. The department of chemistry, St. Marys College Puthanangadi was established under University of Calicut. Our main objective is to teach chemistry in an integrative and holistic manner. We have well equipped modern laboratory with all facilities. The department is ensuring that, the students entrusted to our care are inculcated with high morale, spiritual values and ethics. The Department organizes various programmes for the overall development of the students. Tutorial and Mentor-Mentee programs and Parent-teacher-student interactions are held periodically to evaluate and improve the performance of the students. The Department regularly organizes seminars by experts on different advanced and relevant topics of Chemistry.

Vision of the department is to create quality educated students with basic understanding of chemistry and allied subjects and to integrate academic knowledge with practical, research and industry inputs to help students realise their optimum potential

Programmes Offered

BSc Chemistry

The undergraduate department of Chemistry starts functioning in 2020. It offers undergraduate course in Chemistry.Faculty members have excellent academic credentials and are highly regarded. We have well equipped laboratories and store rooms. The college library offers wide range of standard chemistry books for knowledge enrichment of student. The department has access to a wide range of e-journals and magazines through the INFLIBNET. The Department of Chemistry endeavours to become a leading provider of interdisciplinary approaches to Chemistry Education and prepares diverse students to be scientifically literate, socially committed and competitive professionals to meet the future demands of the changing global environment.
