St. Mary’s college
The first educational institution of CFIC in India
Blessed Luigi Maria Monti, founder of the Sons of the Immaculate Conception (CFIC), established the congregation in 1857 in Rome, with a mission to educate and uplift youth. Today, CFIC operates in 26 countries, managing numerous educational and charitable institutions.
In India, CFIC began its mission in 1973, with its headquarters in Kottayam, Kerala. In 1990, Luigi Bhavan was established in Puthanangadi, Malappuram, under the Diocese of Thamarassery. Dedicated to education and social service, Luigi Bhavan is home to institutions like St. Mary’s College, Monti International Institute of Management, and St. Joseph’s English Medium School, promoting quality education and holistic development. CFIC India has further extended its mission to various states, contributing significantly to education, social care, and community development.
